Happy Birthday! Netball4Life Turns Five.

Our upcoming April School Holiday Clinics mark the five year anniversary of our first ever Netball4Life clinic. It feels like just yesterday that I was sitting at my kitchen table drafting the business plan and developing our core values. Yet here we are! Still kicking and still developing young netballers all over the Central Coast.

I established Netball4Life to fill a gap in the provision of quality, affordable netball skill development opportunities for kids aged 5-14 years in the Wyong Shire region. Our first school holiday clinics were held at YMCA Lake Haven in April of 2012 and attracted over 120 local netballers. Since that very first clinic, Netball4Life has held over 70 netball clinics and programs with 2000+ participants. In 2015, we held our inaugural clinic at Central Coast Grammar School, thus expanding our venues to include netballers from Gosford City. We can now proudly say that we provide opportunities for all junior netballers on the Central Coast.

We are also proud of the many experienced netball coaches that have delivered our programs, as well as the talented young netball coaches that have got their first taste of coaching through our clinics. They are coaches of the future and we are pleased to support their on-going development.

So far in 2016 we have launched our new website (www.netball4life.com) which has a fun and vibrant look and is much more user friendly. Plus, these holidays we are pleased to introduce our first Specialist clinic that allows participants to focus on Shooting, Mid-Court or Circle Defence. The first of these clinics will be held at YMCA Lake Haven on Wednesday 20th April and like all of our day clinics is priced at $40/child. We also hope to launch a line of merchandise later in the year so that you can be a loud and proud Netball4Life supporter every day!

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported Netball4Life over its 5 year journey. We would never have reached this impressive milestone without such generous local support. When visiting local schools or hanging out at Baker Park on a Saturday I love saying hello to all the young netballers that have come through our programs. It puts a great big smile on my face. I hope that we are still around for our 10th birthday and look forward to the evolution of Netball4Life over the next few years.
